Dear Gateways Music Festival
Musicians:
The 2011 Gateways Music Festival will take
place August 10-14 in Rochester, NY. To participate in the
Festival this year, each participant is asked to complete an
application. This information will help us plan repertoire for the
orchestra and chamber music performances. Please send your form in
as soon as possible. Further instructions appear directly on the
Application Form.

Dear Gateways Music Festival Friends:
Our beloved founder and artistic
director Armenta Adams Hummings retired
at the end of the 2009 Festival. In
parting, she created the Artistic
Programs Committee, composed of past
Festival participants and Eastman School
of Music alums. The Committee has been
hard at work over the past 1½ years,
addressing many of the concerns
expressed in the 2009 survey and working
to help the Festival reach its fullest
potential. The members of the Committee,
Board and Planning Committee firmly
believe that the Gateways Music Festival
has extraordinary potential and, with
your support, can become one of the
nation’s best Festivals in every way.
We
are pleased that Michael Morgan, Music
Director of the East Bay Symphony
Orchestra, is returning to conduct the
Festival orchestra this year. We have
many concerts planned for chamber music,
outreach, and full orchestra this season
throughout the Rochester area. You can
